This exclusive plot has always been highly regarded at Reichsrat von Buhl. In 1997 the first of von Buhl Grand Cru’s were produced here. 

An unexpectedly tight Hofstück in 2024. Unlike in previous years, the new vintage is less Burgundian and creamy, but rather straight, precise, and with clear acidity. Green apple, almost unripe pear, and a hint of floral notes on the nose, joined by juicy nectarine on the palate.

Soil:
Our 0.9- hectare plot is the only piece in the 78-hectare Reiterpfad that has not been cleared. To the west, a sandstone wall measuring a hight of 3 meters shields the site while the eastern and Northern slope are bordered by a wall. To the south, a grass ditch separates our plot from the neighboring plot. Under the surface there is a limestone base, the soil is infused with speckled sandstone, loess and occasionally a bit of basalt carried into the site over 150 years ago.
