2023 KIESELBERG Riesling GG

As regards the minerality, the often underrated GG Site Kieselberg is just as excellent as the more well-known sites in Forst. 

In the 2023 vintage, the Kieselberg is a touch softer than in previous years. The typical, clear fruit aromas of white vineyard peach and mirabelle plum are somewhat riper than usual, but no less precise. On the palate, it convinces with a lot of juiciness and a fine melt, thanks to the moderate acidity an extremely well-rounded Riesling.

Soil:
Packed with large proportion of red sandstone pebbles that were washed up by the Rhine over 1,000 years ago and left on the plateau of what is known today as Kieselberg. On this calm ridge, the alternating wind and sun ensure healthy perfectly ripened grapes, even with a late harvest.
