2017 Rosé Réserve - Dry

Our Edition Réserve is characterized by a more rigorous selection of the best organic quality grapes, small yields, as well as a much longer aging period both in bottles and in wooden barrels.

Our Rosé Réserve proves that Rosé wine can also be „serious“. On the nose a classic Pinot Noir with hints of cherry, lots of spice and fine caramel notes. On the palate it shows how much power and elegance a Rosé can possess. This is not an easy-going terrace wine, but rather a wine to philosophize about. It is also an excellent accompaniment to many dishes that typically call for red wine.

For our Rosé Réserve only the best Pinot Noir grapes from a 15-year-old vineyard were used. The grapes were selectively hand harvested and left to macerate in the press for 8 hours. After a gentle, direct pressing with only 50% juice extraction, one third was fermented in Doppelstück wooden barrels (2400l), and the rest in 500l tonneaux.
