2017 KIRCHENSTÜCK Riesling GG

Controlling 0.85 hectares, Reichsrat von Buhl has the largest area in the highest-rated site of the Palatinate region. In the year 1828, Kirchenstück was awarded 65 out of 65 points by tasters. The 2018 vintage is characterised by fresh, exotic fruit with a complex elegance.

Soil:
The sandstone wall that protectively encloses the site releases stored heat from the day back towards the vines at night. Together with the rich soil of sandstone, limestone boulders, basalt and loess gives explanation to the full maturity of such a sensual wine.
