2015 Pechstein Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese

Nowhere is there more basalt and nowhere is the basalt more evident than in a wine from the Forster Pechstein vineyard. Even in a Trockenbeerenauslese with over 250 g of sugar per liter, the character of this distintive site is still clearly evident. Framed by fine dried fruit, the smoky minerality of the Pechstein is unmistakable. On the palate, the salinity shines through again and again through the captivating sweetness.

We bring out noble sweet wines to market three years after the harvest (at the earliest) in order to give them the necessary time to mature. Patience is essential, especially with noble sweet wines.
