2016 Von Buhl Rosé brut - Magnum

100% Pinot Noir and like all Von Buhl wines, 100% Palatinate. Aged for 16 months on the lees and disgorged on time. On the nose, red berries, rose hip and a brioche notes. Creamy, fine bubbly texture coupled with a fresh acidity and long finish. The flavors are light yet complex.

Over the past few years, we at Reichsrat von Buhl, have created our own style of sparkling wines and have been able to achieve the higher level of quality that has set new standards. It remains our ambition to constantly push this level we have set for ourselves. The grapes for this sparkling wine are selectively hand harvested. Only the first 50% of the pressing, the cuvée, is directly pressed after a short maceration period and used for the sparkling wine. Only the best Pinot Noir grapes are pressed for this Rosé. Fermentation and ageing take place in stainless steel tanks and in Doppelstück barrels. This fermentation is then followed by a traditional bottle fermentation for 16 months on the lees.
