Over the past two decades, Reichsrat von Buhl has earned an excellent reputation as a sparkling wine producer. We work according to the elaborate traditional bottle fermentation method. Meaning, that a base wine is individually subjected to a second fermentation in each individual bottle, during which the resulting fermentation carbon dioxide is bound with the wine. This process originates from the Champagne region. It remains our ambition to constantly improve and develop the quality we produce. The grapes for these wines are selectively harvested by hand. Only the first 50% of the pressing is directly pressed after a short maceration period and used for the sparkling wine.

The pinnacle of this endeavour is our Prestige sparkling wines. A selective hand harvest of all the best estate-grown grapes, fermentation of the base wine in stainless steel tanks and 500l Tonneaux barrels, as well as a traditional bottle fermentation on the full lees for at least 40 months creating sparkling wines for special moments. Expect to enjoy 100% traditional craftsmanship at its finest level.
