2019 Deidesheimer Leinhöhle Riesling - Dry

In the glass we find a full-bodied fruit-driven Riesling that is well balanced with a fine acidic structure and creaminess. On the nose yellow fruit aromas dominate their wonderful food companion. 

The VDP.Erste Lage is most easily compared to the French Premier Cru classification in Burgundy. VDP.Erste Lage consist of dry Rieslings from top, classified vineyard locations. From the yields and the development, our VDP.Erste Lage hardly differs from a Grosses Gewachs, the only difference is the individual location of the vineyards.

Soil: The soil here is clearly characterised by red sandstone. Its south-east orientation and the close proximity to the village makes the Leinhöhle vineyard our warmest vineyard site.
