2019 Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker Riesling - Dry

Among our VDP.Erste Lagen, Herrgottsacker is often the most dense wine with lots of grip and structure on the palate accompanied with a surprisingly juicy grape note.

The VDP.Erste Lage is most easily compared to the French Premier Cru classification in Burgundy. VDP.Erste Lage consist of dry Rieslings from top, classified vineyard locations. From the yields and the development, our VDP.Erste Lage hardly differs from a Grosses Gewachs, the only difference is the individual location of the vineyards.

Soil:
The soil is clearly characterised by the red sandstone and loess, with isolated veins of limestone and excellent drainage.
