2017 JESUITENGARTEN Riesling GG

In the Bavarian site classification from 1828, this site was rated the second highest! Jesuitengarten currently has vines from 1987 and 2004 accessible for our Grand Crus. Even at its young age, the 2019 Jesuitengarten already shows its intense fruit flavor finely integrated with acidity and a lively minerality.

Soil:
In terms of soil formation, Jesuitengarten differs from Kirchenstück only by a slightly higher concentration of basalt. The more exposed vineyard allows cool air to pass through on warm summer evenings helping to keep the acidity in the grapes more pronounced than in Kirchenstück.
